Hey TP
I tried rendering out a single texture (my scene is one object), but I gives me weird spots and blots.
I followed your tut, and tried these the setttings.
it was the same for textures going from 1024 to 8128, same error.
Has it to do with the UV or my GI sampling, or? Cheesy

see attached pic,

BR KRodil

btw. when is essentials 2 coming to a store near my pc? Wink

Hey Krodil,

Hard to say what the problem is without having the scene at hand. Depends on many factors. Also, what C4D version are you using?

Is there an option to include or look at bump? I had similar small blotches in XSI and it was caused by a checkbox that said to look at the bump, once I unchecked it all the artifacts went away.

Maybe that'll help Smiley

Cheers,
Jason

im using 11.5 and U3D 2.6

is the only way to increase detail etc. by scaling up tex maps? or can GI play a role?
(I followed the tuts)

Now after a new freshly modelled piece of geometry, I tried the same; BUT instead of a single texture for multiple objs, I did: Each object was baked and separate mats where constructed, these textures where exported to my assets. Now when I look at my model, it doesnt project the various textures on the corresponding geometry, but covers it all. I cant find a method to assign 1 mat per geometry.
How do I solve this pickle? Smiley
If u need a scene, how do I export it for u to see?

Btw, I did a money shot of the first debated geometry.
