Haha... not to worry my dear Viking! I am working on a "Sword". However, I am also recording what I am doing to make a video tutorial for folks so I don't want to show anything quite yet until I am completely finished Smiley

Allllrighty... well since I just finished recording all of the modeling process I thought I'd share a Clay Rendering with you guys. The Sword is modeled after a real hand-crafted sword. I am not aiming for 100% accuracy as I don't have any exact measurements or shots that actually tell me about length/dimension relations. In any case, the current model is modeled in a traditional box modeling approach and then put in HyperNURB (SubD) in C4D. Hope you like it.

Thanks everybody Smiley Well here is my "final" Sword. I am pretty happy with the looks of it. I recorded the whole modeling process and some of the texturing and lighting. I hope to have to video done and available by the end of this week.

Looking very nice Thomas. How many vertices does it have?
I just checked your shop to see if the “making of” would be available already, but it seems not.

Kind regards, Robert

Hey Robert,

The sword model is not a "game ready" model. The video that I made is basically about the modeling process (boxmodeling). It's 2 Hours long and shows the whole process in real time. I am currently uploading the file to the server and it will be available today (in about an hour or two).

So how many polys are in your objects, Thomas? What would you do to optimize this sword for a game?
