Bought it yesterday.  Watched it today. Too basic for me, but happy to support the development of quality training for Unity.  Looking forward to the next release!

Thanks for your comment Islanddreamer. This part of the series was aimed at the beginning game artist who doesn't know much so yeah it is basic but still important I think. Even the more advanced user can still get something out of the videos I think as we tend to overlook certain aspects rather quickly Smiley

However, I would like to know what you guys would like to see covered in future videos of the series so please reply with your ideas/comments.

Thanks for the support guys! Very much appreciated.

Hi Tom, I finally had chance to view the tutes, very nice.  If only Maxon would add ability for us to use our tileable UV's with our Lightmap.

Thanks for watching Wink Yeah, maybe if enough people "request" such a feature we "might" see that in a future version of C4D. Please use the Maxon website to let them know what you want guys!

Hi Thomas,

I picked up the tutorial recently and thought it was pretty good.  I'm a beginner Unity and C4D user so it hit the spot nicely.  I hope you decide to do some follow up intermediate and advanced tutorials in the not too distant future.

Cheers

Thomas, the videos were very good.  I am in the process of making a game for the iPhone so the general method of laying out the levels from the videos probably isn't a good idea due to all the extra tris.  What suggestions do you have for a limited poly situation such as the iPhone?

Hey there Uprise,

You can pretty much use the same methods. Poly count for wall segments and such are actually really quite low if you go with the method shown. Besides, even the iphone can handle around 10k polycount (max) onscreen at the same time so I was told. Of course you want to stay away from that number. But anyhow, in general I'd go with my method.

I saw the demo video on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/user/3DATTACKUS#p/u/19/GTyrAyxBweQ which was posted by 3D Attack. Is this what is included or shown in the download?

The video link you posted is my work. So yes, I am used the same techniques for that FPS demo. The things I teach in my videos can be used to do very similar work.
